Cameras

If you're into photography, you might know a little bit about cameras, what they're capable of, what you're looking for, etc.

Well, I just got one as a graduation gift that I LOVE! The picture above is the copper model I got.

It's a Sony Alpha DSLR-A330
It's pretty hard to look for on the shelf, and it's rather expensive too. I was recommended this camera from a lady who only sells Nikon and Canon :p So It HAS to be pretty good. Only downside is it doesn't have a video recorder on it (I'll use my old canon for that)

What camera do you have/want?

All I really know about cameras are that DSLRs are very nice. My dad has one, and I am not sure what he would do without it

My sister in law, her mom, and me use a Nikon D90. We got them when a store near the mall was going out of business and everything was like 70% off.
I love this camera, some of the photos floating around LG was taken with it, but I barely use it for myself. I'm normally on call for when my sister in law wants me to come take some photos for her photography business.

I has a Canon SD780 IS.
Oh. My. Gay. It's adorable.
I love my camera... I got it on sale for 250 or something..
It's capture resolution is like, 4000x3000 pixels or something. It take 1280p HD videos (That's like, blu-ray or some shit O_o)
It's TINY! Like, I can put it in my pocket and I can forget it's there. It might be smaller than a business card...
But still, despite its size, it's the best camera I've ever used, and I am REALLY into photography.
I've owned 6-7 cameras and I will hold onto this one for a LONG time... unless they come out with a better model, though Canon's newer model pale in comparison to this one.
It's also 12.1 megapixels.. which I think is like, the highest you can get without going into professional lenses (which are thousands of dollars.. D: Sadness...)

Canon VIXIA HF S100 I don't own one, but I get to test it out-Its a camcorder and films in HD.google it

o_o jesus. My new Sony A330 only captures in 3,000 x 2,000 (my huge computer monitor is only 1280x1025). That's a pretty big dick for such a small camera. =D I'll have to invest in one.
Does it shoot in RAW footage? Have Macro? etc.

I literally have no idea what RAW is... but yes, it's macro is AMAZING.
It's the best macro I've ever experienced. It's aaaamaaaaazing.
I'd recommend that camera to like, everyone in the world.
If this camera ever breaks.. I will replace it.. with the same model. Even if I have to like, stand outside Canon and beg them.

EDIT:
Here's some examples of macro shots I've taken. They were minutely recolored in photoshop, then resized so they weren't like... fucking ginormous... but yes, macro is gewd.

NOTE: The foxglove was only macro'd in onto the tips of the flower, which I did on purpose by making it focus on my fingertip, then getting the camera just close enough to barely get the edge sharp.
Some aren't signed for.. idk what reason.. laziness? xD

your macro is amazing. On my Canon A720 IS, these are some of the ones I've managed to get.
(And RAW footage is exactly that. An image that is completely 100% manipulative on the computer)

Hahaha, me and my brother are really into photography. My brother knows a shitload more than me though, he literally studied photography as a core course in college (I've yet to go to college). But if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Anyways, I'll just post some examples of my brother's work. I'll start out with some macro shots and then move to other shots he's taken.

But seriously, If you're serious (like really serious, not just "i want an awesome profile pic-serious") about getting into photography, hit me up.
