YouTube to let users charge rental fees
YouTube's movie rental service is still in its infancy, and it still only offers a small selection of films, but that could change quickly. YouTube exec Hunter Walk told MediaPost that the site will soon offer its users the ability to charge rental fees for their uploaded videos.

Youtube is crossing over to the dark side. Why is it we get something good on the interwebz it sells out or goes down?

Because everyone loves money

Eh I think it's a cool way for people to make money ^^ It's not like youtube will charge and not give anything to the creators of the videos.

Its the poster's choice.
Some people wouldn't charge cash.
Youtube is somewhere where people post what they want freely.
Like vloggers and such.

Yeah, but it's good they have a choice.
Not everyone will buy to see them though..so youtube should
make features only available to the people who pay and
get a portion of the profit. Only from their BUISNESS standpoint.

I know its optional you've already stated.
My point is that it will be a good feature.

Ohhh Gosh.
Hopefully they won't allow the "Youtube Partners" to do so, as they're the top youtubers, constantly begging for money. They'd totally go for the charging :/
Especially ones that produce cute little series like "Hot girlz" and stuff...

Ugh, there goes my entertainment :/

Anyone on Youtube that sells t-shirts is in it for the money, whether they admit it or not, dear.

Shane is CONSTANTLY talking about how youtube got him money.
iJustine- I'm betting all that apple shit didn't come from her part-time job.

Brittani is a genuinely good person though xD
