Laptop vs Desktop
I personally like my laptop because it's portable and I tend to move around a lot for "Reasons".
I agree, the Desktop is more better for Games, Memory, and CPU.

What do you think is better? I go with laptop.

All boils down to what you use the computer for. For me? Laptop.
#3
Desktop, If you want true raw power to your very own customizable needs, that's definitely the way to go.
#4
Laptop because they are small and easy for traveling.
#5
I really think Desktops are more useful becuz on laptops u need to chrage them like every 5 hours
#6
For me, Its my laptop :)

I move around alot, go to friends houses, and like to wander around from place to place in my house ;D
#7
Laptop or bust, but nothing (IMO) comes close to matching my homemade custom rig. The only part I couldn't get off the shelf was the tower, because it's a custom job with a forest skin.

If you want to play games on your laptop, just get a wireless mouse.
#9
Desktops allows for more power but if you are willing to put that extra bit of money into it, you can have a laptop that is as powerful as most peoples' desktops. Of course you now have to deal with like 15lbs of machine.

Depends entirely on the circumstances.

For me and my situation, I enjoy my Laptop greatly.

Way to try to hi-jack my thread with the iPad. This is a discussion about Laptop vs Desktop. Stick to the topic please.

Personally I like my laptop for drawing, and the fact I can take it anywhere. I hate playing games on a laptop though. D; So desktop is better for that, at least to me.
#14
I like both, but if I had to choose one I would have to say, Laptop (Portability beats Speed).
#15
Well I havent used a desktop that much so I'm going with laptop.

When my Asus ROG G60vx arrives, that'll deal with the gaming aspect of PCs.
#16
Desktop, I have a laptop but I have to charge it like every 6 or 7 hours.

But yeah, the laptop is pretty nice.

But I do like to spend a lot of time on the computer sometimes more than my laptop battery usage..

Desktop ftw?

Alienware laptop O:!

for desktop, also alienware

which one do i prefer most?

Laptop for portablity, desktop for home gaming :D

so umm both?
#18
I like my laptop.
I can go places with it (obviously)
And it can handle most of the games and shit I do.
#19
id say a laptop cuz of it being portable
#20
Desktop when you need some serious power.
#21
Desktop all the way. I dislike laptops unless it's for school and on-the-go checking mail. They're personally annoying, and boil down to the equivalence of a giraffe abortion.
unless it's a mac. Then it's only really good for a replacement pizza box

I have a macbook, two pc laptops and one hp laptop and a custom desktop that I made for gaming then I bought a 20 inch touchscreen last month and so far my 20 inch touchscreen desktop is gonna be my favorite, it has a shitload of memory, no tower, TOUCHSCREEN, and it's all out kick ass.

Oh, The desktop I have is a pretty good gaming computer.

@Hickey-- Aren't you lucky?

o-o

I think laptops are good if your the traveling type of person. I'm not, so I choose a desktop. Also because I never really have to charge it. c: <3
#25
I think laptops was more better than desktop because you cannot be hooked up in desktops wires o.O
#26
Thinking about my earlier post, I'd say that I like laptops better because like you said, they are portable, and of course you could just use a wireless mouse. ^^
It's kind of like a journal, if you're carrying it around with you, and you want to remember something so you won't forget it later, open up your laptop and jot it down. xDD
#27
I prefer my Desktop because of its better performance, and I don't go on many trips.
However I am thinking of switching to laptop simply because it is easier to find a place to put it and I don't do any hardcore gaming on the PC.
#28
Well i have my laptop set up like a desktop id rater a desktop for games and shit but the laptop is doing me fine for online down-loadable games and is pretty good with all the other shit i go on.
#29
desktop. theyre more reliable and dont have to worry about it dying on you.
although i use a laptop. ironic.
#30
Laptop. Easy to move around
Desktop... you can't move around
Laptop... you can get internet at your friends how with your info...
Desktop... You leave at home lol
#31
Desktop for pure performance!

desktoppp c:
I haven't had my own laptop, but when i do go on one for whatever reason i don't really like it much. Moving around on the pad thing bothers my fingers probably since i'm used to a mouse but yeah. as far as for games. Whenever i tried playing games on laptops they lag & it wasn't much fun.
