so i am stuck in an after college detention for an hour. i was wondering who here has been in a detention? if so what do you do in them and why are you there?

Another good point, or get into something you know they think is interesting, they'll talk about it and it won't be so boring.. like sports or something. World events is a good topic too!

i am british but college. over here there is high school and college. college dont call it detention though its extra sessions that are voluntary but they force you to go

College detention? What you pissed the professor off and they asked you to stay after? You know you can just leave and they can do shit, right? If they manipulate your grade and you report it they get the boot and you get credit for the class.

I was suspended from my second period class for two days.
I was thinking of not even showing up to the detention period for that time, but now there is this really hot girl in there, who is in my bio class, and we're in there alone, because the teacher always goes into the office, but the video is still on and stuff, but we just face away from it and talk.

in Britain, high school is called college and college/university is called uni (:
I got a grand total of 3 detentions, all at school;
1 - failing to bring back my science homework in time once. 1 hour after school.
2 - for beating up this annoying kid who kept stalking me. I could swear that he was a gay. 2 hours after school for 3 days.
3 - similar to (2) but this one was for taking part in a huge free-for-all down at the playground.
8th grade was not the best time of year. :/

I only got detention in grade 7 and 8, most of the times was because my class was being too loud, and once or twice because I didn't do the homework. o:~

We don't have any detention where I live xD. We just get a bad grade and we need to bring our parents at school. Happened couple of times for talking badly to the teachers and beating some guys.
