Fantasy Nerds.
Where you the kid in the backyard playing with a bowstaff while everyone else your age was playing hide n seek?

Or maybe you spent your days as a kid inside playing final fantasy on your Playstation.

Some people even use to spend their summers or days just crafting weapons from old scrap wood. Trying to make it into a bow with arrows, or maybe a sword to represent clouds from final fantasy 7.

Yea, I was one of those kids. And from time to time i still craftweapons, but its for my little brother.

I was never the butterface fag.. nor was i the geek with a black cloak playing dungeons and dragons, no pocket protector, or anything of the sort.

But I am a fantasy nerd. I dress normal like everyone else.. You know, hoodies(They dont say I <3 WoW) Like tapout, nike, etc, i dress normal, im a normal person, so dont be judgmental. But, i love to play final fantasy instead of playing guns outside with fake pistols from the dollar store.

Post if you are or not.

I used to play with weapons I made, or sticks I imagined to be swords or guns. Then sometimes I would play hide and seek, or sometimes I would play the playstation. Never Final Fantasy though. And I wouldn't reenact the games.

I think video games take away from child hood, and can stump our imagination.

Me and my friends used to play purely imaginative games, like enacting full out wars. (this was really fun with trampolines)
We also had some really long bamboo sticks which helped us more in our wars. xD

haha. I used to spend most of my time as a kid trying to make and catch pokemon. I also used to craft weapons, like you said (my brother made a master sword out of a big stick, ducktape and cardboard), and played A LOT of playstation; Ninja, Gex, Scooby Doo cyber chase, the Digimon TCG, Rogue Trip, Road Rash, Resident Evil, Tomb Raider, etc.

I miss the old days.

Made weapons, built forts, ran around pretending I was else where, and lots of playstation. I have friend that still craft weapons and armor just not from stick but rather metal. While at times I don't get why they do it, the end result is always cool.

I've made a keyblade before, but that's when I was younger, it was flimsy and didn't look great. But recently I *attempted* to make a hyrulian shield from LOZOoT.

It's not perfect, but I like it because I added straps so i can carry it around. It took me a while to make, just used regular paint, then sealed it with something. My dad helped me screw in the strap things.

Tell me what you think of it. XD

Back in elementary school, I would read D&D books (3rd edition) as if they were actual books. I never even played the game until years later, the stuff just fascinated me at an early age.

Naww, i cant find my camera :(

But they are almost an exact replica, im pretty good at metal working, like blacksmithing and stuff... Welding, etc..

My dad used to craft things from metal, and when he showed me how to use the welder at age 10, ive been going to the local welding shop after he left and i still do metal working :)

Was in a smith shop last week and they had a keyblade. Which was basically a steel pole with a crafted ax head and a handle but it looked legit.

My friend is making Sauron's Armor from the opening sequence of LOR. He has the mail and gauntlets done so far.
