Your first car

so my friend Andy, lead guitarist for the local metal band, is selling his band van to me. I went to test drive it today, and the only thing that's wrong with it, is the defroster doesn't work and it leaks a little antifreeze.



it's a 1988 ford econoline. E-150. it's got a V-6 4.9 liter engine. 147,000 original miles, and the engine was rebuilt a few years ago and that has about 30,000 miles on it.

That's the van. No, I'm not in this picture (to avoid confusion)

What does your first car look like? What was it?

My first car was (and still is) a used Chevy Lumina. I've had it a few years and it runs pretty well despite having over 100k miles on it

Yeah it was actually my mom's car, XD when she bought a new one she gave her old one to me since my older brother already had a car, lol.

Got it only a few months ago, its a stick and everything works on it except one of the back speakers are blown out. I love this car even though all my friends give me crap for getting a ford with a carbon fiber hood. Its still alot of fun driving. Well all i can say is that its a FORD

My first car (jeep) is a 1995 Cherokee. It's in good shape. Brand new tires, Brakes, Oil, Speakers, Muffler, and more. It drives real fucking good. It's just an awesome jeep. Got it for $1,700 when it should've been sold for over 5 grand.

My first car was a 2004 Chevy Monte Carlo SS.....It came with "A hardcore system" as the guys selling it called it...Really nice car everything worked and was in good shape, worked out a deal and got it for $2500 and some yardwork xD

I have a red 1997 nissan sentra with silver ghost flames. Lol It's a good little car I need to learn how to drive again though. D:

haha. He wants to set a price on the van. o.< The only problems are

It's pretty old and pre-used before he got it.

See what he wants and horde him. If he says lets say $1000 offer something around $800 or $700. Strike a deal and horde him for a discount because your his friend and dig up some shit on him to make him want to go down in price because he doesn't want it out.

haha. he's pretty negotiatable. ^_^ I'm sure I can get a great deal on it. I'm guessing $1200 on it at the most. Plus we've been friends forever, you're right.
What do you mean by "horde"?

by horde I mean bribe him or set up a good deal.

What type of van is it and what year?
Also how many miles are on the van?

I'm not sure. I believe it's a ford (it looks like it). I'm going to get info on it later before I go to test it.

Well $1200 seems like a fair price. But try and talk him down.

You should also find out how much it would cost to fix the problems with it.

talking to Cl0V3R, it sounds pretty expensive. I won't know for sure though until I check it out tomorrow

Oh well I forgot, it's USD. Car market might be cheaper where you are too.

I don't know a hell of a lot about cars anyway.

My first car is a 92 Buick(something) It runs great. Only thing wrong is the aliment. But that is my fault for going to fast on ice and hitting a curb.

Oh and I was thinking, wouldn't a van like this use up a lot of petrol?? Do you need a car this big?

You could get a smaller car in the same condition but cheaper and better on fuel.

I'd love to, and you're right, but this one I can get for only $400, which is more in my price range, compared to other cars.

XD I've never raced a car before. I don't think an old Honda Civic could ever win a race. Unless it wasn't really a Civic, but a Lamborghini Murcielago made to look like a Civic. Then I would win.

My first was a 1970 Buick Skylark GSX, it came with a 350 (400 horse)......
But I got bored with that and dropped a 632 (850 horsepower) in it

My second and current car is a 93 jeep cherokee... One of the years with the powerful, high output engine. Fun stuff.

First car was a 92 grand prix in near perfect condition - It had been driven by my grandma from new, and I dont think she ever drove it over 50.
