left handed people
are we just weird? i was in human growth and development class today and we somehow got on the subject. i was the only lefty in my class. some people in there seem to think its unnatural. well i was just born this way and im pretty much the same as everyone else i suppose. what do you think

Well, I'm left handed and I don't really see myself as weird.

Though, every left handed person I've seen have always been in AP classes or classes alike
Is that just a coincidence?
#3
No, us lefty's are freaks.

Nah. We are just like everyone else.
#4
I'm lefty as well, haven't really noticed anything different about myself.

But I've heard that lefties have a shorter life span than righties, is there any truth that?
#5
i heard that too ksrocks

Lol
the origin of the word left mean 'wrong'
Thats why we say 'the right way' instead of , 'the left way'
im not lying
Look it up
And left handed people are not freaks the have superior dexterity to use their left hand

well all of my lefty friends including myself are very artistic and i heard that was a trait of left handed people but idk.

I'm creative, for the most part, good with graphics and such, but I don't draw much, I have a hard time keeping my hand steady. But I guess artistic can really be anything, so, I agree with that too.

XD I never knew any of this stuff about myself.

It does contribute to you skill
I do believe this is a special trait
Now i see why you are so interesting >: D

:) yay you love me :)

There is actually no difference. It is about preference at a young age. Most people are ambidextrous when they are younger, and favor a hand or arm at around 5 or 6 years old.
any one that is right handed uses the motor skills in the left side of their brain, and for lefers, the right side of the brain's motor skills is favored more.

I dont think there is anything wrong with being a lefty. Nor anything that happens if you are.

Its more to do with the side of your brain you use more. what hand you use is determined by the natural tendency to use one side over the other but you can train yourself to think/use either side equally. I've taught my self to be ambidexterity and to use the right and left sides of my brain at will. Its fun stuff.
Being left handed really isn't a big deal and the hand you use is based on the side of the brain that is encouraged when you're young, so if they want you to draw and be artistic then you have good chance of being left handed and if they encourage you to read and count you're more likely to be right handed.

I'm a righty but my brothers a lefty in the old days they said that leftys where the children of the devil and got smacked with a cane on there knuckles to make them write with there right hand. I think left handed people are more creative and intelligent. They also have a complex way of thinking.

I hate art and am horrible at doing anything creative, though I usually prefer math, math, and more math. >.>

I usually prefer math as well, normally not a writer or reader, but graphics are fun to me, I don't know if thats because photoshop is technology or what, but I can be creative sometimes.

I'm a lefty, and while we're on the topic, I like maths, literature AND I'm creative/artistic I guess..

Though I tend to be smarter than all my right-handed friends, while my 'rivals' are all left-handed :|

It's because left-handed people are killed by using simple products designed for right-handed people.

It actually a special ability not many people are left handed. All left handers can do the jobs of right handers with a little twist nothing else no need to be so sad about. I have a friend who is left-handed but then her beats lots of guys in studies as well as sports

I forgot to add that i can write and perform just as well with my left hand that i can with my right hand.

I'm left handed and I cant play the guitar lefty. My right hand would never be able to form the chords and such, so I just play normal. I'm not like you, XD
#24
Its just how your brain told you to use your hands
#25
It doesn't feel that weird to be using your left hand. It just feel the oppositre of right.
And that feels weird sometimes...Not that weird, though.
(I'm ambidextrous)
#26
I'm right handed.
Back when I was real young, and was learning how to writeish, i could write with either.
But I considered "writing" as writing squiggles that people could understand.
#27
Theres nothing weird bout it...
You just got used on using your left when you were a child...
Im a righty and I know how to use my left a bit
#28
I think I started off left handed, but then was taught to use my right more .
#29
I can write with my both hands lol
