Bring back the UG

I think it was a great idea and an incentive to keep members around and making them post just so they could get in.

Remember the good old days when we had Bronze/Silver.
Hardly anyone ever got into Gold. Not even a fair chance of getting in to be honest.
Prior to that was just regular UG..

so yeah that's just my suggestion on things.

Oh and monthly staff changes.
The people would vote for the mods.
I think we should bring that back too.

There are users spamming for programs section already, no need for more spam.
We need a larger pool of users who are interested in the site, not "I need x more posts so I can get bot x and get the f out".
Possibly in the future, when LG has more users who produce useful content.

Also, out of the current active users the staff is probably the best you can get, monthly changes are unnecessary and at this point would probably be based on friendship more than respect and professionalism.

That's what I think, anything is possible tho

There is no system. There is a UG and there are people in it though.

There's a UG, and the people in it are the people who we feel can contribute to it. If you can't contribute anything UG-worthy to it, you don't get in.

Also, I agree with Soph. The old system wouldn't work at all with the current userbase, the old system only (kinda) worked because of the fact that we had so many users and such a dedicated community.

Yes obviously there is a UG but no application for new users to get in.
Bring back the application process.

That would still bring useless users into the UG who can't contribute anything though.

Don't make me start naming useless members because there is a number of useless members that are already in the UG.
It's not about who's useless or not. It's about giving members more opportunities within the community.

How to apply to UG:
1. Submit contributory content to LG. UG users see you aren't selfish/an idiot and let you in.
or
2. Submit contributory content to me via PM to submit to UG for you (when you don't want the information public). UG users see you aren't selfish/an idiot and let you in.

You don't get in my complaining about not being in it. You get in by doing something worth getting in it.
