Disable post count in JY
For some reason, posting in JY now +1's to post count.
When you look at this, then the PPD/Post count needed for UG, shit's gon get abused.
Why is JY adding to post count anyways? :/
Also remove from post count whatever amount of posts people have gotten from posting in JY.

When somebody makes a post the post count needs to go up, simple as that. Postcount shouldn't judge a members worth, it's just to get an idea of activity.

inb4 spam in JY, kthx

There's an application for underground now, so there really isn't anything to worry about.
If you notice almost no one is UG or UGS anymore.

That's what I meant, even though it will not majorly affect your application to have 100 posts & the PPD, the posts in JY will grant some users in JY the ability to apply for UG despite not contributing in their posts..

Yea they can apply but it doesn't mean they'll be accepted. C:

Well i suppose being active in the JunkYard is better than not being g active at all.

Personally I sort of like post count in the JY now that it doesn't really have all too much to do with getting underground.
#9
You guys seriously gotta make up your minds.
First people want to have post counts in the junkyard. Now that we have it for less than a week you want to disable it.

We can't please everyone.

I like having post count go up, because it shows that we don't have to be measured by post count, that being said, admins should put a lot of effort into the Application approving to make sure there are contributions, and fully worthy of UG/Anything else.
#11
Notice that UG requires approval from staff members.
Pretty sure atleast one would notice somebody only posted in the JY.

So that's why my post count has been going up... I've been like... wtf I'm not posting...
#14
I see where you're going with this Coak, but just because someone CAN apply for UG doesn't mean they'll get accepted. It is staff-voted, after all.
#15
The only thing that posts has to do with UG is PPD requirements. There are other prerequisites to counter this.

Post count in the JY needs to be taken off. I don't remember anyone saying they wanted it nor have I seen anyone suggesting it in public.
So you're saying I can go spam the JY with hundreds of posts and increase my ppd and post count and apply for UG gold. Thanks!

GD is dead now that JY increments post counts.

15/17 active members did.

And if you're implying that post count completely defines whether or not you qualify for a position or certain rank I think we've already witnessed that it hasn't if you've bothered to even look at some of the application comments.

in all fairness, GD's been a little dead since Newsbot came around. Not saying it's a bad thing, just saying it updates news before we can keep discussing an interesting topic. Then people who come in later won't even have known that the topic existed at one point.

We can discuss other things in GD besides the news.
