Asking why "insert name here" got banned. I suggest this should be a new rule, especially with the revival of LG and everything. It gets annoying, and if you really want to know why then ask the person personally via MSN...But yeah, that's my suggestion.
#2
I think a better solution is by having a list of users ban and reason why they got ban.
#3
Hrm, that's a good suggestion as well.

I'd rather have a ban list and shut people up. Lol.
#4
I agree with Google's reply. There are other sites that do this as well, and it cuts down on "why did *user* get banned" spam.
#5
Agreed with googles suggestion, and i agree to Tatsy.

We need to get some rules set ASAP.
A list that includes banned members, and a reason for their ban would be helpful, but i think it's kind of a lot of work, unless (i know there is somewhere) a application that can be installed on the vB and have it done automatically.
#6
I also agree with Google's suggestion! Having a list of banned users and their date of ban and the reason would be a great idea.

I suggested this on the original LG... Don't know why it was declined... :|

A list would make it much easier... Plus, easier for the mod to post "Oh yeah it's this reason" every time... :|

Oh well, I agree Google/my :P idea should be put into play before a no ask rule. 99% of the asking is done in JY, which, if we made no asking why someone was banned is illegit, then what else will we have to make illegit?

a list of banned users is way too much like GG. they have lists of members that got banned and why they got banned.

if a member gets banned and the reason is of importance to the community, then it should be up to them as to why they got banned, but just for everyday bans, there is no reason to give that information out. if a user gets banned, they did something wrong, and it should be left at that on a need-to-know basis, and honestly, no member needs to know why a member got banned, they just want to know.

Of course its just a need to know information. lol
But it will cut down the whole why did this person get ban threads...
Maybe like a little comment in their profile or something.. Beside "Banned"
We dont need like a whole paragraph of details on why they got ban.. just basic information such as.
Scamming
Or..
Spamming.
Pissing off a mod.

Stuff like that..

Say I'm talking to Google on MSN having a trade for 30mil Gaya. Say Google got banned for spamming the night before. I look at his profile and he's banned for 3 days. Do I trust HIM or a mod telling me he's not a scammer?

(I don't give a shit about the middleman topic. Don't bring it up)

Yes this is a good example on why we should need one..

that is something more agreeable. a whole thread telling why aperson got banned is useless. a small note on their profile for why they got banned and for how long would be better since it wouldn't prompt 10000000000 threads asking why someone got banned.

permabans need to be explained better since you would have to fuck up royally to get permabanned from LG.

but a small profile edit by the banning mod as to why the ban happened would be better than copying GG.

I would think maybe a sub-forum of banned users and why. :)
#14
I think there should be a list...were all a family here and we deserve to know why This or That person got banned...BY making a ban list we wont have multiple threads asking and random Pms asking why he or she got banned...

lmao no. Being banned is banned enough. Anyways, Admins have everyone's IP and such.

Not that my input is worth anything, but I don't care if it's a copy from GG. Just because somebody did something first, does that mean that we shouldn't copy them? That is an illegitimate point for not having it, and, in fact, I can't think of a reason not to have it. But I don't think it should be a thread

This is a way better idea and their should be a ban lifting the shows.

Kept up in the announcement section?

Mods/Admins can lock then unlock when they post that a new person has been banned. Then Lock it again.

Could be
Username - IP - Reason for the ban

Like : "Rape - (His IP here) - Excessive Spam"

Very Logical.

It's not even that, the /banned.html or whatever module is something used on a TON of forums, way before GG used it, so if we ever do get it, it wouldn't be copying GG, it'd just be LG adding another official VB module

just have it in the junkyard as a stiky :D

These posts all happen in the Junkyard - the forum for SPAMMING. "No spamming in the spam forum"? Yeah right.
