give it a year before it's released officially, another for the first major service pack.

supposed to be a free upgrade if you're running windows 8 already.

Whats the difference between 8 and 10? Is it something you recommendedto fo, im still runing windows 7

I would wait for the official release.

I already had two partitions set up so i just killed me linux shit with 10. They load nicely together.

The code was supposedly rewritten but most of the apps seem like windows 8 to me. Pretty much blends the things that made 7 feel home to make windows 8 feel less chunky.

File explorer is still shit. They use an alias for "This PC" to refer to the area where your harddrives are.

Also lacks basic tabbing functionality.

Snapping screens has a (new?) functionality where if you drop one to the side, it will ask what the other side windows should be.

Ten now has a task view similar to Gnome that allows multiple desktops. This is something I've used in linux forever to aid productivity, but I haven't found a need to use it yet.

I guess I'll just wait for an official upgrade. I'd rather just download the update through Windows Update than install an OS myself.

it's a rather painless install. i dont like how it uses Microsoft accounts for user login, but whatevs.

i installed it on a whim while i was high and everyone at work was taling about it that day.

Well my hard drive isn't partitioned and I don't particularly want it to be. I'll install it when I can safely say I don't need Windows 8 anymore and can do everything on Windows 10.

Windows 9 is where its really at.
