Best way to make a old computer run like new? any suggestions?
My computer was made in 05 and is 6 years old and runs like crap takes way to long to load but has okish internet all im wondering if anyone on here knows how to make a old computer run like a new one.
Download Maleware bytes, Ccleaner, and Defraggler
then run them all in order
then uninstall things you aren't using, and make sure in startup programs that you dont have any unneccesary things running....thats about it
Look in your boot options or something, might be f11 depending on your computer and look for a "Factory Recovery" or "Factory Reset."
I love that feature on computers. It runs like the first day you bought it.

I got my laptop in early 2007. I've taken really good care of it for the past few years and it still runs like it is brand new off the shelf. Once a week I clean off all the junk. Cookies, Back ups of crap I don't need, Spray it down with an air can a few times. Etc etc. I use Tune Up Utilities. I think it's better then CClean, Defragging, and Malware bites combined. I set up my Firefox so every time I close it, it deletes all the cookies and temporary files it creates so those don't pile up and take up a ton of space. Best way to take care of it is to make sure there aren't 991825912590 files of junk on the computer, keep it clean, delete crap you don't need. Watch what you download, etc etc. If you want to make it faster I suggest cleaning it and removing all those junk files and possibly if you can, drop more ram and memory in it.

RAM can only help so much. If your processor is shit, more RAM won't help much.
