Just because it doesn't show up doesn't mean it's not there. If you try to register with that user-name, it will tell you that it is taken.

I tried searching it too, a bunch of crap came up that was like Dad232 D_ad1111.

Searching it shows ALL the usernames with "dad" in them.
What always works is going to gaiaonline.com/profiles/[insert username here]

Anyway, what if some gaia admin/mod troll waltzes in here? xD

Searching the username dad wont work, Neither would PMing the username dad.

After so long, A name loses its dominance in gaia if it has a bunch of similar copies and has been inactive.

Username Dad > Inactive for 8 years > Other users hahve names very similar such as dad. or d.ad or other things. > Those users take dominance over the word "Dad"

Result : You can no longer log into, PM, Or view the profile of Dad. You have to go to gaiaonline.com/p/[userid][/userid]

The easiest way to search for a user name is to go to "Friends" then search like your going to add one. Even if they have searching off it'll let you find em, and it organizes the results based on relevance.

im pretty sure if it doesnt show up when you search the username then you gotta search the email for it to show up

User ID also works, but as far as getting it, can be difficult.

Wrong sir. There is an account called dad without the [- shit, however Gaia is mental and doesn't work the best when it comes to profiles.
