Some think they have lower ban rate.
Most objective buyers want stuff, gold value, not an account number. Slap some gold on it and sell it. You can charge a little more then but you aren't gonna sell it for a ton just because of its account number.
Depends on the name really. That is 17000+ names, and honestly I am sure some still arent taken. If its three random letters from pounding on the keyboard, itd be worth shit. If its something legible, like Lay or Hat or something, It would probably be worth quite a bit.
Its not the three letter name that counts, but what the letter are.
Im sure an account with the user "OMG" or "WTF" would sell for at least in the ten million range. but a name like "dbn" wouldn't sell for nearly as much.
that's a subjective thing. Old names tend to sometimes slip under the radar, especially the rare ones when punctuation marks and symbols were allowed, like the bracketed names. They have almost equal chances of getting banned, but are sometimes suspected less.
And a further note - prices can vary for old names from as little as 50-100k to as much as several millions. And rare names are worth more these days anyway.
Final note - it depends upon how much buyers are willing to pay as well, sometimes certain parties believe that asking prices can be too high.
All depends on who you ask... Make an auction thread.
P.s. the account isn't going to be banned just due to you posted the username... We don't have near the spies we use to, and you have no proof the account is hacked.
