Cyanoxide needs a bit of help
Right, I've been absent from LG for quite a while because I've had a large amount of projects that were more important I've got those finished now so I think I can spent a bit of time on here, though I still have a fair few things I need to do.
I have to catch up on college work, buy my new computer and prepare to leave town for uni on the other side of England.
But yay just thought I'd let you know what was going on with me and why I haven't/ wont be posting to much other the next month or so.
I was als

ndering if you could help me, I've got the cash now for my new computer and I still haven't decided on a make or model, I haven't even decided on whether I want a laptop or a desktop.
That is where I hope you can help me, I have just over £700 right now and if I wait till this time next month I will have over a grand for this. I want something that looks nice and professional, and can run extremely well.
what do you think?
A windows 7 Dell Laptop. Get it.
For a desktop you should get a psystar or a iMac or a Powermac G5 (they are still blazing fast).
For a laptop you should get a Sony dell or a macbook. Do not buy a HP! My family owns 3 of them and after a month or so every one started to creaks and becomes very flimsey.
Sorry for any typos, I am typing on my blackberry.
Fuck Dell. Get a Vaio. Don't get a Macbook. They're extremely overpriced. I was comparing my sexy new Vaio to someone's sexy new Macbook just a few days ago. The only difference is his processor is a few versions newer and he has an extra graphics card (that can't be used simultaneously, mind you; so the graphics abilities are equal; it's just to save battery power or increase loading speed or some shit that isn't worth the extra grand it costs to have). His computer cost over 3 times as much as mine (mine was a little under 1k, he was 3k). Macbooks are totally just paying for the appearance.
Sony Vaio is where it's at. However, if you don't need the portability of a laptop, just get a desktop. For the same price, it would be over twice as good.
EDIT: HP sucks.
get a desktop. laptops suck for gaming.
Still not helping lmao, I've already looked into Vaios and yeah they look nice....some of them but the good ones are well over a grand.
Also ever look at Alien ware?
Get an AlienWare Computer.
I didn't click the link. I just read the specs in the title. That thing could easily be Steam games.
I got a Core 2 Duo T6600, 4gb RAM, and ATI something-I-forgot-the-name-of and I can run every Steam game I own on all-high specs. Then again, it's probably the graphics card of the computer in the link that isn't good, if you expect it to not be able to run Steam games.
Intel graphics card? My old desktop had that and it does suck cunt. All it could run was CS 1.6. I'm surprised that's what it has - the other specs are sweet.
Why not just custom build one? I know Dell offers that. Sony does for their laptops, so they probably do for their desktops too.
i7 processor. Mmmm.
But that's my problem, I don't know what type to get and custom building through a company like Dell or Sony can be pretty expensive.
I need something with atleast 4GB RAM preferably more, a decent graphics card that can run new released games smoothly, about 500GB hard drive and a nice processor, If I could aford it I'd go with an i7 but obviously there pretty expensive.
If anyone knows of this computer in my price range or even a place I can browse through computers like this let me know but bare in mind I'm from the UK so don't bother linking me to a site with wicked awesome comps but they don't ship too me.
Hope you can help me because my laptop is slowly failing me, off charge the battery lasts about 20 minutes the charger wire is wrapped in cello-tape and the three key and left click on the touch pad are broken.
Professional? Mac is the way to go.
Does no one bother reading the thread?
