I'm thinking of starting a late 60s/ early 70s hard rock/metal cover band.
Think we'd get booked much?

I think you're confusing college stoners with senior (as in OLD; no pun intended) stoners.
Modern stoners don't listen to old stoner music. They listen to modern stoner music - rap and shit.

You'd have probably gotten booked a lot if you came up with this idea 30 years ago.

I wasn't alive 30 years ago.
Legacy acts are making a ton of money, record sales went up and cd sales went down in 09, and most people who play music are into the music.

Actually, I think it's a great idea.
Just ignore H2O and Lady Gaga, just look at their usernames, avatars and signatures...

i thought pink floyd was stoner music ?
