Activity
If you want this site to flourish, then you are going to need seriously need to start pumping out something to get it rolling. Programs (of all kinds), FLPS, Guides/Tutorials, etc etc. Every little bit helps. Advertise, everywhere. It can't just be a hand full of members. It has to be the vast majority of the community.

I am making a towns bot open source for everyone. It should be released tonight or at least the beta should be going to a few active members to run for.

I feel like the site's activity is slowly picking up and even increasing bit by bit. I agree though, there needs to be more collective commitment. Granted some members are actually putting effort into contributing.

Overall I don't think activity in itself is an issue though. There needs to be a little more focus on the actual structure of the site. I think we could use a more diverse variety of content, we need different sites to focus on (i.e. other games besides gaia), etc.

If we can get the site to a more quality state, where more users would actually want to join, then the activity issue can somewhat solve itself so to speak.

The towns bot sounds cool except for the fact that not too many people care for gaia much nowadays. Still, it's something to look forward to I guess.

I can make bots for almost any browser based game people want.

I can too. I do think LG should create its own game. Granted that be what ever it is.

Not really a viable solution.

And I'm sure a lot of guys here can make bots for browser based games, including me, but the focus should branch out elsewhere. Let's try delving into exploiting desktop games, let's shift our focus towards different sites whatever they may be, let's offer a wider variety of fresh content, and so on and so forth.

The site needs more of a facelift rather than programs imo. It looks so dull right now.

I find hacking desktop games to be fairly difficult but that could just be me. Also most popular games have some sort of protection which would make it next to impossible for a beginner to do much of anything..

Fair point. Hacking desktop games are at the very least signficantly harder than browser games. Particularly for beginners.

I mean, it's worth a shot though. We need more tutorials on stuff like that and things of the like. I don't think gaia's giving us very much traction anymore tbh.

If you can nail Memory Injection, it is possible to hack into desktop games. It is just a rather long and tedious process for multiple reasons. First you need a computer capable to handle larger games (12Sky, WoW, etc etc). Maybe LG should start offering services rather then just releasing programs. If we have a great service capable of bringing income, that would work.

My idea for bringing income to the table would be that we create a service that would justify LG. Users would use LG Currency for the service that way the younger population of the community can still use the service and we could transfer LG currency into real currency for the ones that are old enough to do so.

inb4 popular games prob hook ur writeprocmemory funcs & such to prevent this anyway

i agree that major games would be pretty hard to hack and imo require a LOT of experience in the way they work

there's the possibility of making a sort of section for whatever misc game people play. terraria and such. although idk how well memory stuff would work on terraria.

GAIA does NOT seem to be a viable option anymore. very few people are interested.
even in an open source towns bot.

let us ask ourselves....what do people like doing.....and can we do it with them.......

Is this thread any different than the one titled Game in the suggestions forum?
#11
the only way to get active members is to make the best bots out there for the games with the most players right now

thats what we did with gaia

want to know what that means? league bots/hacks, dota bots/hacks, cs:go bots/hacks, etc. not this old-school browser-based bullshit that only a niche community plays

if you want activity, youre gonna have to stay updated with the times, learn new skills, and step out of your comfort zone

Def needs more than just Gaia bots. :P

I can cook spaghetti and meatballs, but that's about it in the providing skills category.

No offense, but you kind of ruined the site, so I don't think you should be commenting.

You started the clique of people on the site (You, Flare, Unintelligible, etc) that didn't allow anyone else into their little elite friend group, and thus killed off all other activity on the forums, because the other people felt excluded. The only reason these forums are still up is to uphold the little LG Clique that still exists, but with different people.

Interested in seeing your towns source.

I've been working on my own site, finally got an OG domain. xD

lul. I've written things for DN years ago. It depends on what kind of bot you're looking for. What do you want said "bot" to do?

i.e. A few months ago I was working on this bot on and off but haven't had the time or motivation to work on it lately. http://i.imgur.com/WldVzM2.png
