The main reason is the community, I believe that everyone here has slowly become a family. A dis-functional family, but a family non-the less. There are also many different types of people here allowing you to gain some insight on a lot of different subjects, or even get some advice. A long time ago I was here mostly for Gaia, but that has changed since I know longer have an interest in that site anymore. What really keeps me around now is pleasant conversation and reading some of the posts made by others. Just an added statement: It's really up to the user here that are active to become more friendly, and help the site evolve to attract new users. Many of us fail to do so either by the lack of trying or just the inability to do much more than offer friendly conversation.

The community is really all I'm here for, even though at times I'm barely here.
I like to pop by, post here and there, or just lurk wherever I feel like doing so.
'The Junkyard' here in LG is my favourite place to lurk and muck about, most of the time just scrolling by and checking out whenever drama llamas go around.
I quite like the fact we have a separate 'Weighted Discussion' area, even if I barely go in there.
I like the chats we have around even when they're as slow as snails or completely nonsensical and random; it's much better than having multiple conversations at once that fly by so fast you can barely make sense of what's going on, or having conversations that are just utterly stupid.
Sometimes our chats may be dumb but not over the edge of stupidity it's always interesting even if it's sometimes in a mind numbing way.
For the most part everyone here is logical in some sort of way. (derpderp logical gamers derpderp)
Those who aren't and come around purely to see what it is they can obtain without giving back are usually filtered out quite nicely.
It's a well paced little site, and I enjoy it.
