That or they want people who are hard workers , and being a young age compannys think you will fuck off, so what I could tell you how i get a job is , when you fill out an application say in like the additional notes or something , say you are a hard worker , and you arnt afraid to actually work , and you give every thing your all . and if you do get lucky enough to get an interview , shake the interviewers hand and look them in the eyes , and call them almost every day to make them think you are really tring to prove yourself.

Meh, don't know how things are in the US, but here it's definitely a pain in the ass.
If you don't know anyone that could recommend you, you're basically doomed.
Bosses don't give a crap about resumes, education or personality, only experience matters and if you have none, too bad.
You just have to be at the right place at the right time, it's really sad and disappointing.

well what you can do too , is well what I do is if its construction , tell them you can work for minimum wage for a few days or whatever if they dont like how you work , they can tell you to fly a kite and if they like how you work they will keep you. always sell your self at minimum wage and more likly you will get a chance and they will pay you more if they like how you work.

That's not how it works here dear. We have laws that require you to get paid a certain amount deprnding on the difficulty of the job and it's automatically what you get. If the company doesn't do so, they'll be fined. All companies & workers must obey the regulations by law.

Good luck. D:

There are only two minimum wages in America -- one for the vast majority of jobs, and a lower one for jobs that earn primarily in tips. The difficulty of the job is irrelevant, and it's up to the employer to price their hiring wage competitively. If the job is actually so hard, companies will be willing to pay more than minimum wage for the service. Minimum wage is really only an issue for jobs that don't require education or talent.

If you never had a job before and are pretty young just go for the minimum wage ones first or jobs that people dont want. Almost everyone that i know wants a job in a clothing store or footlocker but half of them dont have jobs if you look for stores like supermarkets or something you will get a job thats what i did.
