Couch Surfing

Anyone try it before?
I am going to start a YouTube travel channel eventually and travel the word filming myself take photos of amazing landscapes/places and sampling exotic foods. Couch surfing would give me the ability to really connect and experience life as a native of whatever country/province I visit. Think of it as Peter Lik's From The Edge mixed with Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern.
Your thoughts on foreign travel, couch surfing, and if you think that would make an interesting YouTube channel and eventually a television show?

Have any more info on Couch Surfing? I've never actually heard of it before.

I'd rather just stay at motels.

Yes, it's a social experiment where you stay at other people's homes for free. You get to learn their culture, and they get to learn yours. I cannot wait to give it a try and possibly do it as a living. Check out couchsurfing.org.

lol at the time I left, yeah. But I think the Polar Ice Caps are warmer than it is here year round.

Combined with train hopping it was definitely a hell of an experiment. I met even a few medium-class couples and a family that train hop just for the fun. It's like vacation to some people. to others it's a way of life.
Train takes the scenic route anyway, so fuck it yea?
