You'd be surprised if someone was willing to put in some effort. It's pretty simple to ruin someone's life just through the internet. I personally couldn't be assed to do so, but there are people who will.

Well if me posting a link to my facebook is so harmful lets have Gamechief erase this topic. I personally don't see any other dangers of it then someone making a fake profile of me and using my pictures for other random shit which could happen from me having a facebook in general or any other site where my pictures are available. All it takes is a right click and "save as". I would like to get technical for a moment and ask what are these serious "life ruining" things you are speaking of? Identity theft? Someone hacking my Facebook?

But public information doesn't imply people don't know it. Lots about me is public. The parts I don't want people knowing aren't. Anything else is. So leaving it up until he confirms or whatever.
