i think my boyfriend is overfeeding our baby (puppy)

first of my boyfriend REFUSES to feed him dogfood. he feeds him straight meat beans veggies and rice. i was skeptical about this as well. but my precious is muscular as hell because of it (and hes a chaweenie). now my concern is how much we're feeding him. we must feed him at least a cup and a half a day... hes not getting fat just muscular (in the legs and chest) but he eats soooo fast, and almost seems to love food more than oxygen, and every time he eats, his stomach makes completely audible noises. ive talked with ruben (bf) about changing his diet; but ruben thinks the noises are from how fast he eats/, and that his diet is fine. opinions?

I would contact a vet and ask them what your puppy's diet should be, they would know best.

i talked to my vet/, he examined him and said that he was as healthy as a horse. healthier and more livid then most of the dogs that he sees. i told him that i think were overfeeding him and the stomach noises, but he says theres nothing wrong with him and hes perfectly fine. maybe he just eats too fast and im freaking out but i dont know the noises scare me.

If the vet says hes okay, then he is probably okay. You are just overreacting.

most likely.. all of my pets have died because of someone elses stupidity and im freaking out cuz i LOVE this dog, and if he died because my boyfriend makes him sick.. dont even know what id do.

Bring the dog to another vet if you don't believe that one vet.

Dogs eat fast any way. Really ought to feed him dog food, good dog food. Feeding him food prepared for humans can be harmful, dogs don't do well with spices and herbs. Plus they can't process certain nuts and things and that will kill them.
