Got a bigger desk as well as an amp, subwoofer, and 5 speakers.

I don't see why you'd need it. Most speakers that have a sub already have an amp, plus your computer should be able to act as an amp.

It's cramp, but honestly I don't see that as too much of a problem. Not like you randomly bust out in interpretive dance or anything so as long as you fit comfortably that's all the matters.

I got it for free so why not use everything?

Using it doesn't mean you need to shot people. I'd take it to a range and try it out.

I was illustrating a flaw in your logic. Its not meant to be literal.
Since what you're using the receiver for is already done by the speaker/computer you could use it with your tv.

I know, but I hardly use my tv and there is not enough space in my living room.
