It's definitely not androgynous. The shaved side with the long top is pretty exclusively a woman-cut. At least for now. I'm sure it will become androgynous, but it's pretty feminine in modern hairstyle.

I would call myself more of a manly-man than an "androgynous" man. You can keep all of your pink shirts and "androgynous" hairstyles over there, I'll just keep mine short and spiked. (Or, skater style and slightly long, it was like that for a while)

I don't know why you keep putting androgynous in quotes. I just have a very in-between face, so I can do whatever with my hair and look decent.

I just hit the shit luck and got thick, fine hair, so it basically just lays flat.

Yeah, I'm pretty happy with it.

Wind can't blow it around too much, it's low maintenance, and it doesn't look half bad.

I think it's fairly androgynous. Though not by typical standards, but people for get that early punks, glam and then new wave featured bands and men wearing their hair like this.

Really? That looks like it would be a huge problem with how long it is in the front. Are you using any gel or anything to keep it in place?

I was going to recommend you spike it instead of putting it down. And that you take up using Head & Shoulders to get rid of the glistening, but if that's gel that would defeat the purpose. If not, I think the spikes in the examples would be a little better. Maybe a little length off the front so that it matches the spike length.

Or do this if you prefer it.

The shine is from it being wet though, that was right after I rinsed all the dye out of my hair. When it's dry it's a lot less obnoxious.
