People still do it, but rarely.

Most sites have DDoS protection with services like CloudFlare now, so it's a lot harder now. The only people you see still DDoSing are the people who made their own personal 0day rapeage tools, like th3j35t3r with his Xerxes tool that can take down any website in under a minute.

Only users without sessions were getting the error. I wasn't getting the error, so I never knew anything was wrong. I didn't even get the error in Firefox. Got a text from TGYTG and an IM from Ethan and a Facebook comment from someone that they were all getting errors. So I tried in Opera, and all of a sudden I'd get it, whereafter it's history.

Yeah, the activity decline was a little over 24 hours, so it's somewhere between 24 and 48 that it was down.
