I've gotten really into Yu-Gi-Oh recently. So most of the money I got from selling accounts I used on Yu-Gi-Oh cards.

Only the old Pokemon TCG. I used to play Digimon, but I didn't like it. I've avoided TCGs since.
I'm quite fond of Yugioh actually, but I've stopped following the series since the debut of Zexal. It's a disgrace to the show, seriously. XYZ monsters are retarded.
But yeah, I play the game and I own a few cards. I don't purchase them anymore, though. I prefer playing on duelingnetwork and things of the like rather than wasting time and money investing in them.

I stopped playing DN since there's a automated version of it. The XYZ look pretty cool. I own 1 XYZ that I got from a booster pack, but I barely understand them.

I would totally play on DN with you sometime but all the new cards befuddle the shit out of me. I've heard some of the new booster monsters are sheerly retarded. I haven't bought boosters since 8th grade though.

What is the automated version? I imagine making an automated version would be relatively easy, but manual has its own perks as well.

Ditto. The cards were all great though before the Zexal era. At least it was able to hold on for that long.

Agreed. It took me a long time to make my decks even though they're just replicas of characters from the show with a few spins added to it. I'm in love with Jaden's, Yusei's, and Yugi's decks.

Its called DevPro and yeah manual is more social and it doesn't make it seem like you are dueling a computer.

Deck building is easy when you use archtypes or a type of monster. But if you have a mix of monsters it is hard.

I've played Yugioh, Pokemon, Digimon, and Magic. I only really play Magic actively now, Yugioh happens sometimes. I haven't played anyone with a modern yugioh deck in awhile so I don't know any of the newer mechanics but I imagine too much hasn't changed.
I stopped following the show as soon as the original characters were gone.
I like Magic. It's a bit more challenging than yugioh and the community is larger. If you want to play you can basically walk into a card or comic shop and do it. It's easy to just play and it's easy to get into completive play too. The way Magic sells their stuff is really helpful too. For about $50 I've 400 something cards and three or four decks. It takes a little bit of time to get used to the game play and learn the mechanics but once you do it's pretty easy.

Magic seems unattractive to me since as a kid I played Yu-Gi-Oh.

Yeah but magic can be much slower paced and yet somehow the game can still end even faster than yugioh. Probably since the official hp start is so low compared to the 8000 LP you start with on yugioh. Yugioh USED to be interesting because games could last virtually half to your entire deck (deck outs). Of course with so many bullshit combos and OTK's its significantly lost it's appeal. Magic is like everyone masses armies for 15 turns then best OP combo wins.
Both can still be fun honestly, just in different ways IMO.

Really the HP is about the same. Yugioh is 8000 but base stat monster is like 1200 versus Magic is 20 but base stat monster is 2.
Magic game play is often dictated by what kind of decks get played. You're right if green or blue gets played then things can last awhile because the players have to set things up. Red or black decks tend to be very aggressive. Mana system forces a stall for at least the first turn typical. Yugioh just starts throwing cards down so you lose cards quicker, plus it has smaller decks.
They are both interesting games to play.

Haha I used to run a lorescale coatl g b deck. Me and my friends didn't cap hand size so you can only imagine the awesomeness of a 15 counter lorescale!
