Not to be confused with the "posts in the last 24 hours" in the goal bar. Today's 24 hours isn't over yet.

You're welcome. Just kidding.

*it was this of "In The Mood" but I don't think anyone except maybe Charles would listen to or know that

It's also 70 posts off. My bar is saying 511. And it is now saying something else.

You mean 512?
Wait I know what's up, maybe. Kain and I became mods so perhaps our posts no longer count and thus the number changed?

I dont know if that would be the case. Cause I'm switching and going into forums and stuff and the number is switching around a little.

Like I said in the first post, the posts in the bar is posts the last 24 hours. The bar in the image is the posts made on this date, which is only like 20 hours in or whatever time zone the server is in.

The post goal bar decreases over time as posts that were made 24 hours + 1 minute ago no longer count.

Ah. That makes more sense.

It's because I returned. True story.
#10
It's because none of us has had sex in the past 24 hours.

So the goal is just to keep the post count bar up? It never actually resets?

It's a 24 hour total compared to the last months average. It never resets, but it can go down.

So if we were to start a bump thread in the spam section, would it still technically count towards the goal?

Nope, I brought that to Charles' attention.
Spam section is disabled towards the counter.

Yeah. It originally reset, but I decided that was too dishearting to members who posted in the morning.

@Kain, I switched it to weekly average. Might do monthly in the future, but there are too many fluctuations with the restructure for monthly to be of any use. Hell, even a three day average might be more beneficial. But I'll leave it at a week to see how it does.

@Soul, like Ethan said, spam posts don't count. Neither do admin posts. Mod posts still count toward both the goal and the stats in the image. The stats were originally designed to determine how well the community interacted with each other (the real measurement of success), not how well the staff interacted. The post goal uses the same system. It rewards the community for what it does, not what staff do.

Mods are still members, as far as I'm concerned, regarding their interactions with the community. They don't have prompts for how to reply. They say what any member says and contribute any way any other member would. Admins, however, don't have such freedom or leniency, and at the same time spend a lot of posts saying what has to be said, in discussions they otherwise would not have taken part in. I don't think measuring these types of posts is indicative of a successful forum, so I exclude them from stats.

But thats why it would have been in the spam section. Negates the spam-factor.
