In other news, the only time I've ever "abused" my powers was when I gave beyonce his own thread, and the only reason for that was because I actually feel that with beyonce on our forums, less new users will come, and it will be a less enjoyable experience for everyone.

Defeats the purpose of a public poll.
And it doesn't matter. You shouldn't be mod in the first place. The other mods were appointed ceremoniously, while Charles made you moderator by default. That isn't fair to the community.
If you want to be long term mod you need to be voted for by the community as a whole. Your powers should be stripped away by now.

Once JY has a mod, he won't be needing to move topics anymore. But we shouldn't discredit the fact that he has done plenty of good work in the time he's had his power. I certainly wouldn't have had the time or patience to do what he's done to help organize the forums. So I'll try and think of some sort of distinguishing reward I can give for it. Maybe I'll start the codes for the awards soon.
Flare shouldn't be rewarded for doing a garbageman job he volunteered to do. Pretty sure a lot of others would have accepted the role given the opportunity.

The idea behind a "garbageman job" is that no one else wants to do it. He volunteered to perform a crucial role at no benefit to him. That's exactly the kind of service deserving of reward.
Pretty sure a garbageman job doesn't exactly hold those implications. He was able to make Beyonce take over one of his threads to try and belittle him. He was able to help the community. I'm sure plenty of other members would have jumped to the occasion if they were given the chance.

I don't mind not having a reward, I was just trying to help get the forum back on it's feet.
I think with helping out in web-based games and other consoles and stuff, I moved like ~200-300 threads haha. I cut a few sections down by like 10-15 pages.
But yeah, I understand how I wouldn't be deserving of an award, and anyway, I was just trying to help out. No need to reward me, I didn't even want to be a full mod in the first place haha, just someone who helps out where it's needed.

Maybe we should just not have it be called a moderator position. And instead of having it be a moderator title, just call the position, the "Garbage Man."

I don't know if we want too many mods though, if we have a greater amount of mods than normal active users, it could scare away new users, because they would be like "everyone here is special but me

Why not make different titles for mods. Like I did like the idea of garbage man, ect.
I don't know usually when I see a place with lots of mods and positions my first thought is to strive to be someone vs a site where it seems impossible.

Ooh, that's a good point. I think it would be cool having a bunch of different titles, rather than just "moderator". We should come up with creative titles for the moderators of each section. For junkyard, you could have "Junk Sorter" or something, haha.

Fer-realz, I vote for Cloey and COffin. And Kain too. Having mods that can take shifts cover the spread better.
