I love it, and in my opinion it survives longer than the iPhone, which have been known to break super fast and apple just tells you to buy a new one.
The only android phone I can't stand is the Note and Note 2. They're sexy, but god damn they're like holding a fucking tablet up to your ear.
Yes buying a iphone can be pricey but I just got on that was refurbished. It was way cheaper then normal.
