Theoretically. They are always present, and forum statistics generally do not coincide with such a ratio of members to guests. I have no clue who is running them. Probably not all search engines, as I believe vBulletin distinguishes between search engine spiders as guests.

Yeah, it's kind of creepy to see that there's that many crawlers/requests to our website coming from unknown sources. They could be bots looking for exploits, email harvesters, or a number of things. Who knows o-o

They are probably either looking for exploits or what are causing the mail server spam.

I doubt they're harvesting data.
