Just finished taking the GRE
Anyone else have to take it? And if so, what did you get?

(EDIT: I took the infamous new version.)

You must feel proud

OTP: I took your mom.

Except technically he's African and Canadian. Which is both cool and weird. Still a great athlete nonetheless. You should feel proud.

The GRE is to grad school like the ACT is to college.

You have to write two papers followed by 5 tests. All timed.

I started at 4:30 and got out of 8:15. Constant testing that whole time.

What's an ACT?
#11
It's like the SAT.
#12
ACT is bad enough. 4 hours of it is even worse!
#13
Most STEM majors will need to take it.

I don't know of a master program worth doing that doesn't require the GRE or GMAT. Even when I was thinking about doing a masters in international relations I needed the same score for that program as I did the MBA program I wanted into.
I took it, the GMAT, the LSAT, and the Bloomberg Test. The latter of which I took without studying and still did above average.
Better yet I have to wait two years till I can pursue my MBA and Law degree program because I need "business experience".

Experience is a big deal. I'm going to have 21 hours experience when I graduate. Nine of next semester's 15 hours are going to be research. Fun fun fun.

Only studied a week for the GRE. Vocab is hard as shit to learn in one week.
