Applying for jobs
Well since im not in school why not make more money im apply for game stop and pc richards and sons.
I was wondering what i should put for the question salary or wage desired? Would it make a different if i put like 10$ or something?

Any other tips you guys want to give me so i can get the job?

That's a tough question. I've always been apprehensive when asked how much I want (it's a balancing act: too low and they lowball you, too high and they can go off you). I much prefer it when employers state their salary and you can pick and choose based on that. Do you know anyone who works at any of those stores who you can ask how much they earn?

If you need to know the salary for Gamestop, I'm pretty good friends with a lot of the employees at the one near my house and I could try to ask sometime this week if you want. It was funny, the first guys there I became friends with happened to be the assistant-manager and the manager, who said to call them the second I turned 17 and they'd practically hire me on the spot. They liked how I was a fairly active gamer and knew a lot about current games, and can talk about them in the right lingo and stuff.

No i dont but i did search on google and some are saying minimum wage which is 7.25 i guess but never stated a number.
Flare if you could get it by tomorrow that would be good because im planning on handing this in after work wendesday.

Actually, according to Google it's $7.25/hr. Must be the jobs I'm applying for (mainly fast food/restaurants).

Australia is pretty expensive to live in though. In terms of cost of living, our 6 major cities are within the top 50 most expensive in the world (Sydney #11, Melbourne #15, Perth #19, Canberra #23, Brisbane #24, Adelaide #27). America just has one - NYC, which is #33.

You won't get a job at GameStop for $10...

I'd also recommend applying to a locally owned game store instead of GameStop, but whatevs.

Yeah i know i was just saying an example.
I was planning on looking around for different game stores but i have no time since i work untill friday.

The managers at Game stop make roughly $9-$10 an hour, your best bet at a place like that is putting minimum wage down.
