Having watched both all the waythrough, I want to point out. This dude has well over $1000 investeddispite what he says and he has a room devoted to this.
Sidenote: The kyboard in the corner is a hammond organ, very expensive so this dude is loaded.

Naw, I'm still going to spend some time trying to recreate the effect. I think hat he's doing is a cheapened version of what they actually do. Still I'm pretty interested. I'm pirating Vocaloid2 at the moment and researching other techniques.
I used to do liquid light shows and helped occasionally with laser light stuff when people had it. So this really interesting to me.

The software it's self just creates the songs, as far as the actual dance I believe he's actually creating them, or ripping the dance / models from project diva.

I found a video of how to get the animation models. I haven't watched it yet though.
