Computer help ?
I have an external hard drive and want to install a new OS on it and boot from it, and if i decide to, replace my current internal harddrive with the external one, so, how does that work please ? Internet didn't help mucn , LG is the new google.

Delete system 32 then open your computer and switch hardrives. No, Open your computer, locate the harddrive, switch them. Boot the harddrive. it should have the option to load the new os, depending how old your actual computer is.

ANYWAY, Jah, just direct the OS to install to the external (same process as installing to a flash drive/usb stick, look it up), and when your computer is booting, mash f12 til a screen listing a bunch of boot devices comes up, boot from USB.

Thanks Kain, I used the CMD and messed up : /

list disk

select disk 1

clean

create partition primary

select partition 1

active

format fs=ntfs quick

assign

exit

and installed obunutu on it. Will it still work , if not, how to i get my hard drive to be shown as an external one ?
