Noob, I had a thought just now.
What if this mass suicide rate, murder rate, poisonings, etc. that have been happening in your conveniently happy little area never existed?
What if you're actually deteriorating mentally.
Everything you hear, see on tv, all the stories, and finally the reality on top of not being able to sleep.
What if it's not the world that's turning chaotic.
What if it's you?

I love the idea, but my first thought in all of this is "You work at a fucking hospital. People that get hurt, are sick, and/or dying come there. Of course it seems like the world went to hell. Crime rates are actually down across the US since the 80sand have steadily deceased but you're working in the epicenter of where shit goes down."
