I admit I've not even watched the trailer. I'm too aggravated that I was not made aware prior to now. That and I'm already unable to wait or contain myself. Rurouni Kenshin is my shit. Its been my favorite thing ever since 8th grade. I own more Kenshin stuff than is socially acceptable by any measure and I'm willing to admit it.
Where does this movie occure time line wise? Post cannon or in that terrible made up third season that's in the anime? Don't tell me its some filler made up shit. Also any idea if Nobuhiro is involved? Cause without him this is going to suck ball.

I can't exactly tell since there hasn't been too much of an update on the movie. The most I know is: It's coming out august 25th and the main characters that are in here are:
Kenshin, Kaoru, Sanosuke, Yahiko, Megumi, Saitou Hajime, Udou Jine, Takeda Kanryuu

And it's suppose to end up being a series of live action movies that follow the manga.

Edit: From the trailer which I think you should watch it reminds me a bit more of Samurai X style wise.

It is a very good movie!
And yes! Ip Man is amazing! I just watched a trailer for Ip Man 4, I missed Ip Man 3 though. ):
