Yes. I was one of the few select students who did trial courses for it. It was amazing.

Congrats though.

Sixteen months. I opted for the "please don't give me any summer breaks, take all those damn holiday breaks, and screw snow days and weekends" school. Accelerated program. I literally gave up my life going to school full time and working on the weekends full time. X_X

Now on to opening a small restaurant. Already have meetings set up with counselors for business grants and what not. My business plan is being created. Already have a dedicated business partner/advisor with 15 years under his belt, and another who is just a workaholic that will stand by my crazy side no matter what. I hope to have this being built in full swing by next year, but it may take a little longer. I'm looking at late 2013; early 2014.

Now that I haven't decided yet. I do know it will be in Louisiana; Baton Rouge or New Orleans. More than likely Baton rouge, but New Orleans gets more foreign traffic.

Cool :D well good luck , and never forget that you can't be too loose on the "Friends" thing, when it comes to money , you have to be straight. ( Even though i'm not , it's something i'm trying to fix :P)

I have no friends when it comes to money or my business affairs. Only associates. I'm actually quite ruthless when it comes to management. I've run many things before, this is just something I can call my own; something I made with my own soul.

Lol well it's not always the case :P . Sometime you have to cause it's really stupid to say no, but sometimes you gotta say no according to your principles.

Are you saying school isn't something you have to work at?

No, I am saying that is the career path which you decided to take with the intent of financial gain.

I didn't go to school with the intent of financial gain, but educational.
Therefore, that is your job. If you didn't get cut that check SOMETHING would be wrong. Now, wouldn't it?

I'm hoping my school might introduce some basic molecular gastronomy. I've seen the kits for it online, seems fascinating.

They were so confusing at first. All the different powders, syringes and tools.

The best thing I made in there was a deconstructed cheesecake engulfed in a cloud of caramel and chocolate with pecan liquor caviar.

That sounds awesome. I saw a video online of a drink, made like bubble tea, but with the molecular gastronomy kit. Something like cucumber and basil.

Yes, and they make it near impossible to get.

You can't miss any days at all, including LOA's (leaves of absencses that excuse you from taking a class). You can't be late/leave early. You have to have 100% attendance hours. You can't miss any hours. If you were 1 minute late, you were docked an hour. You miss 3 hours of a class, you failed that class. It was hell. I am the second person to have 100% attendance.
