OMG OMG YAY *HAPPYANIMUGASM* Ghost in the shell related

It has been "unofficially" confirmed by Satoru Nakamura at March's AnimeNext2011 there will be more ghost in the shell stand alone complex. ;~;
The animu gods have answered my prayers.

And yes, there will indeed be another GitSAC TV series. Nakamura, whrked on the first two and the Solid State Society movie, can’t talk yet about what it will be or when it will be released, but encouraged us to look forward to it.

As could be guessed there were many more questions about Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex than anything else. Nothing could be better than the second, and biggest, surprise of the event when Mr. Nakamura and Mr. Kakimoto leaned their heads together then unofficially announced more Stand Alone Complex is in the works (update: also reported by AnimeDiet since I know some people wanted more sources).

I've always wanted the final season of Rurouni Kenshin to be made. The third season is a bunch of made up filler bullshit and the movie doesn't cut it.

it wont happen unfortunately, They have already labeled the series as finalized, and released a dvd / bluray boxset.

I'm well aware. Its the only anime i care about enough to actually keep up with. There were several petitions over the last few years and I've seen re-releases due to interest so I remain hopeful.
Also "A new Rurouni Kenshin anime was announced in April 2011's Jump Square. It is still under development.However, Aniplex of America announced at Otakon 2011 that they are in "negotiations" for the new series."
