Think about it
IF there was a Zombie Apocalypse, we'd really be in no real danger.
In Dawn of the Dead, both original and Remake, you'll notice that throughout the movie the Zombies start to deteriorate more and more as the movie goes on.
That's because with or without food, they're still dead and decomposing.
So at most we'd only have to hold off a couple weeks before they just decompose and stop functioning. Joints and muscles rot away, etc.
It's not like they're going to walk the earth forever, it's only a matter of time.
So 2 weeks worth of food and we'll be good.
yeah, it'll slim down the population quite a bit, but if your priority is Survival it shouldn't be too hard to stay safe and unbitten for a couple weeks.

Too bad zombies will never exist, except in fiction books.

Considering they move they have to have blood flow so they have to be "alive" even if their mental capacities have been lowered.

Exactly. And anything alive with or without a mental capacity dies eventually anyway. So they'll more than likely starve.

The possibilities of it actually happening are surprisingly good.
Think about it.
It's an infection.
We're still coming across new infections with different results, and new ones are constantly being created through different actions and results.

Infection Side-Effects:
-A drastic craving to eat
-Lower mental capacity/deterioration of instinct (similar to that seen in Alzheimer and Cancer)
-Uncontrollable craving to flesh or meat (Primal instincts, often seen in Cannibalism)

We see those every day. People develop eating disorders, infections have known to cause deterioration in our mental state, and Cannibals have proven that eating other people IS possible and some infections have caused intense cravings toward awkward things or stuff we wouldn't normally eat.

So these 3 symptoms in 1 infection can easily either be man-made or naturally produced since all of it is anyway.

Lol Raivu : You love asking questions that were unanswered back in your childhood don't you ? :P
Zombies could just be those people that become carnivores , they don't need to be dead or anything.
