Yeah it does sound all modern and indie. I originally wanted Quidditch & Krishna which I came up with based some people watching I did between classes one day.

So a band using the United States national motto needs to be European?

It means "From Many, One" I read a lot of philosophy and took a few semesters of latin so I was describing what I though the sound and dynamic of my band was to my band and we thought we might use it as our name.

To be absolutely truthful, I had no idea what the name meant. But that's just me, I'm sure others would understand.

Too much of a mouthful. "I'm going to see E Pluribus Unum in concert tomorrow" No one would say that

The "E' sounds kind of unnecessary, I think just "Pluribus" or "Pluribus Unum" would sound better.

People say they're going to see Avenged Sevenfold. Similar syllabic content.

I think it will be shortened though it makes the name meaningless to an extent.
