Let's make a petsite/avatar site
This would be pretty fun to do. I have the arty capabilities such as making items, avatar bases, graphics and website layouts for this, and I have been speaking with Arti and he says it's a wonderful idea.

We need the programmers too as Arti will be in charge of y00z.

Anyways, we need ideas of the style and theme we want this to be if we want to be successful and make many moneys.

We haven't decided if it should be pixel based or CG based (like Subeta.net)

Let us know if you'd like to help us out, and supply us with some examples of what you can do.

We would like this site to be unique and not just another copy of Gaia or Neopets. My idea was that players can have the choice of a chibi styled character or a normal figure.



Once everything comes together, we need to think of a suitable title.

I'll help. What I'll do, I am unsure. I know a lot about business though.
Any way, thought: so you need it to be different from gaia but still avatar based. What if you took the old rpg style interface and used on a forum site. Specifically I'm talking about pulling the window and art style of this

and then placing over a forum. In this case the pace where there is text would be for users to post and the screen would just be the forum. The customization of avatars would be simple layering of images. You can then use the chibli style art in a more "3-d" aspect like old video games for a "Towns" sort of interface. You could also go the extra mile and create a game with in the "Towns" system that is simple rpg. You can gear the forum more towards video games rather than anime and you've essentially got something "new".

I guess you could incorporate items from actual games too. :p That would be pretty kick-ass, yet you'd have to be careful about copyright.

Yes I have thought carefully about that as you can get sued and allsort of trouble.

I would like to help. My skills are basically anything related to business or marketing. :P I can somewhat design or code but I am not passionate about those..

We had this discussion a while back. Matt says he refuses to help program any "weeaboo avatar site".
So we might have to get that past him first. Honestly if we do a avatar site it might be a good idea to step away from pixel art and do something more tinierme-ish / CG based.
Since really pixel avis are sort of a dime a dozen now.

I think you guys should get a shit ton of things together and then ask him, make it look like it is easier for him to do. That's just my opinion.

Well considering he's one of the site programmers with out him that would really only leave chad.
At least that was the concern last time.
Unless alex is cool with doing the programming?

I could help with spreading the word about it when u guys publish it on my facebook. twitter, Myspace (lol) and more places i uset to get on or do.

Yeah Alex is willing to do it, we can brew up more programmers if we can, if anyone knows any good ones ;P

CG would be best I reckon as we can both draw well in CG XD

Gaia gets away with straight up infringement on a regular basis "One Wing Soldier" and shin-whatever nobody are blatant. I think as long as your not exactly replicating things you're good. I think you could get very tongue in cheek about video game references like Kingdom of Loathing and really generate some popularity. Phonics down - TheKolWiki I literally play this for the references.

@Coffin it depends on what you're copying. I guess if you ask the person's permission to take something I guess that could be allowed.

To me, it's all about uniqueness - making a new start in the avatar community.

I am making progress on the front page ideas. It's going pretty slowly though. Had to make some of my own photoshop brushes XD

I'd stick to a variation on the word. Euphoria.com sounds like it could be a lot of things not related to what your doing, unless what your doing is porn or sexy toys or a spa.
Whatever the focus it take the part of the word that is most descriptive stick it to phoria. Or use a pun like Uphoria or Youphoria. (Marketing, I does it)

Youphoria seems pretty cool. I guess we could use other words.

Euphoria in terms means happiness, ecstacy and I guess in other terms... pleasure XD
