So over the winter I got a message from Comcast saying that I need to halt downloading illegal files. Torrents. And I have just come to the realization that Norton fucked me over.
It scanned my computer like usual and must have reported me to Comcast for one of the files that I had on my computer.
Is this even possible? Just wondering before I flip shit.
Pretty much what Jenn said. ISPs do tend to monitor what you're doing though. Sucks to be in americaland for the next year and a bit, they're trying to obliterate the warez scene stateside.

The ISP can tell has nothing to do with norton.
Usually the companies that own the right to what ever you're downloading report you to your ISP and by law the ISP has to do something about it.
Limit you upload speed to 1kbs and invest in something like peer block.
You still can get caught, but it helps.
Kind of like the United States.

The US has a chance to retain primacy in the world and recover from its political and economic setbacks but it'll take some maneuvering and the politicians will have to listen to IR theorists and stop bsing policy. We need to abandon the democratic peace theory and the expansive neo-conservative foreign policy. We need libertarian or a realist in office to fix the country.
Eh, I don't know that much about politics, nor do I care.
