I laughed really hard at the Call of Duty: ELITE article.
They plan on uniting all the Call of Duty players to one game.
No monthly subscription fee, there is a free version of the game, however if you want the more Elite experience, you need to pay $15.

There has never been a subscription fee for COD.
But they would release a bunch of shit maps in a map pack every half year that they would charge $15 for.
