They're so downright rude. I asked them to rate my artwork out of 10 and rated it 0 and 3/10
Wtf? Maybe my art isn't good enough and i'm not saying it's amazing but people are just really fucking harsh. Starting arguments thinking they're experts at everything.
People are just stupid in general. When any one decides they've become part of a dedicated "creative judgment group" they become assholes. Funniest part is often most of the "judges" don't have any talent or skill and couldn't begin to match even the most mediocre of entries. Don't let people ever discourage your creativity and use your nay-sayers as an excuse to push yourself so you can come back and laugh at them someday.
Awwh thanks Coffin that's cheered me up tbh. I never really liked the people in gaia. I was thinking the exact same thing when they think they're experts but their on work is shit xD Meh. My dA favourites beg to differ anyways. If I upload the images of my work on subeta for example, they're really nice about my work and want to commission. I guess it's just Gaia in general.

and yeah i'll show you some of my work i showed there.
Make sure to post in the art forums and not the chatterbox or they'll wreck you because they're all 13 fake scene kids in there. Also, joining a guild dedicated to art will be helpful as it'll be a closed in community and you'll be more likely to receive constructive criticism.
Thanks stormie. At first I put the topic in the art discussion board, then they were complaining so I put a new topic in the Picture post with no replies. I asked for critisicm on the second topic, but ratings on the first. Lol they think I have a "massive ego" because I asked for ratings....
And they were hating on that? Damn kids could probably never do something like that.

I wouldn't worry about it. People on Gaia tend to hate those with any glimmer of talent and heap praise on those with little of it. It's a defense mechanism for there own mediocrity.
Continue on your art anyways art is an art no matter what it looks like it depends upon who is looking, because people got different opinions (i am not telling that your art is ugly)
