What type of computer is this?
What type of computer is this?

Here are a few pictures of it:

I found it in my basement after years of neglect from my parents. It says "ULTRA" on it and runs on Windows 95 and has a Intel Pentium processor. My parents have no clue what it is and I cant find a name or brand or anything on it besides the ULTRA on the front.

If anyone could help, it would be great :)

Hmm, I can't be 100 percent sure, but that looks like a desktop computer.

Ive already read that, but I didn't think that was it O.o

So, I have a custom modded/gaming computer or something that has Windows 95?

Flareboy, you are stupid. Ultra didnt make modded computers or anything like that. It's just a generic piece of shit.

@Flareboy, it's an old computer obviously and it runs Windows 95 on it. I say take it apart and use it for your own computer. That or host some kind of server on it.

Yea I was thinking of hosting a server on it. And I don't mean like amazingly modded or anything I just saw that they sell cases so someone at least bought a case for this thing :O And I didn't see anywhere that they sold whole computers, especially from that long ago.

EDIT: I wonder if I could fit a new desktop with liquid cooling and all that into this case... or how much this computer is worth? :O

At my school we have a bunch of desktops with Windows 95 Server on it and we put them all in one and made a pretty decent computer. We are going to use the cases for next year for some better computers.

Ooh sounds sweet... I might try something like that, with the fact that you can get old computers on ebay for like 20$ xD

Sounds cool though. Adding new components to this computer would probably be cheaper than the 800$ gaming desktop i was saving up for xD

not by much, but yes it would definitely be cheaper. Unless you need to upgrade and replace everything in the computer in which case no... it would probably not be cheaper

In order to make that thing run half decent you would need to replace every part on the inside. All you really have is a case. The processor is too low powered, and the motherboard wont support any modern processors. The power supply is probably really weak, so you'd have to buy a new psu too. That and ram. It would be more worth it to buy the gaming computer unless you actually know how to build a computer.
As far as ultra only selling cases... "Ultra was the brand name for MidWest Micro's white-box personal and laptop computers sold through their Infotel computer product distribution division."
