So, apparently on April 19th, someone hacked into Sony's database and now has access to 77,000,000 PSN people's Usernames, Passwords, Credit cards, date of birth, addresses, and phone numbers, and it's all being leaked online.
They just told the public about it Tuesday, but they haven't caught the hacker yet.

No credit info put in. No phone number that i remember giving.
Whoever actually has real personal info is fucked xD
PlayStation....... Meh. I gotta Xbox. And who the hell hands out personal information to a company capable of being hacked. [I added fake info for my Xbox Live account, and pretty much everyting I sign up for, except Gamefly. ]
It may seem like it won't happen or the odds aren't that big, but if 77k people victims of it who's to say the entire PSN isn't at risk of being hacked.
They should have like state of the art security or something like that right? Ya know, to PREVENT these types of occurrences. Just sayin, epic fail on PSN and Sony's side. Major win for the hacker. He's gonna do some time if he's caught. :thumbsup:

Imagine how open this makes Sony though.
The entire industry could be corrupt over this.
That could put thousands out of jobs.
They want to be as nice to users now as humanly possible.
It'd probably be cake to just socially engineer a PS3 right now.
I'm jealous though because when it goes back up i bet the users are getting a ton of free shit.
