Go sign if you care, please. If senate votes to cut funding for americorps, I'll be heading home early in march rather than in august, and the program will be done for. All americorps programs, which is some 86000 people in "employment" being paid less than minimum wage simply because they love what they do.

@mx Americorps has a ton of branches that do different things. Currently, I am in NCCC, which is a ten month long program for citizens age 18-24. Basic description, domestic peace corps. Long description of NCCC - National service, which can include alot of things. I am only on my second round of projects out of four... First month, conservation work in missouri. Second month, second round, one month of work at a boys and girls club here in denver, and one month of work with the Metro Denver Habitat for Humanity. In short, we do alot of good for alot of people, and the govt is about to cut our funding.
