I usually get around 400.
You should try FlashGet.
I get up to 800 kb/s sometimes 1 mb/s depending on where the server is I'm DL'ing from.

Heh. I can maintain about 10 100 kb/s downloads at any given time, while still torrenting at ~.9 MB/s.

I tested while my parents were up, clogging my shit.

Also, try picking different servers.
Some of them suck.
Example: Compare these.

He lives any where in the world that isn't the US or is getting internet from there of lives in Topeka, Kansas which offers a gig or something ludicrous to people.
