I've never used RS, but it appears that they've been having this for more than a month now possibly to try and compete with MU, which, for their regular unpaid members, already has the premium features that RS has. MU has a 200GB storage while RS only has 10GB, for which you have to pay.

This was posted before, and I'll explain it again.
The free "premium" account gets you nothing, because rapidshit changes how they do their downloads.
Once you get your "premium" account, you must buy rapids, which is what pays for your download traffic. Its just like megaupload, where you can have an account, but without paying, that account gets nothing.

Yeah I saw it the first time. Don't gotta repeat.
