It's for my hackintosh build. Newegg doesn't list the chipset of any pci cards I was interested in. So I ended up getting a USB one.

I needed a sound card e_e. It's either spend like $15 or spend 2 weeks de-packing kexts and writing a new driver for my current sound card.
